I steped into more performonce oriented products leading the design of a new Luluemon's Run Vest both for teh city and the trails.
CHALLENGE
Redesign Lululemon's Run Vest to tackle 3 major complaints:
FIT, STERNUM STRAPS and WEIGHT.
THE PROCESS
I conducted extensive market research purchasing physical samples to test and analyze competitors products.
For this project in particular I started selecting fabrics based on their weight and propoerties before moving into ideation.
Leveraging the insights gained from market research and feedback on the previous vest, I started sketching ideas.
Once the concept was approved detailed technical drawings were created to craft the first samples.
OUTCOME
Throughout the design process of creating a run vest, I focused on understanding the unique needs the user while addressing key issues such as fit, weight, and functionality.
